2026 M-NCPPC Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment Survey
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), Department of Parks and Recreation is conducting a “Parks and Recreation Facilities and Services Community Interest and Opinion Survey” in Prince George’s County to help establish priorities for the future development of parks and recreation facilities, programs, and services within the County.
We appreciate your time: We realize that this survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete, but each question is important. The time you invest in completing this survey will aid the M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation in taking a resident-driven approach to making decisions that will enrich the future of Prince George’s County Parks and Recreation services and positively affect the lives of its residents. Please note this survey follows two prior surveys done in previous years, and your answers will provide valuable information on usage and trends as the County plans for future parks and recreation programs.
In addition to informing future parks and recreation priorities, the survey results will support the Department’s brand study, an important effort to better understand how residents experience, recognize, and connect with Prince George’s County Parks and Recreation. This study assesses public awareness of our programs, facilities, services, and community impact, while also identifying opportunities to strengthen how we communicate who we are, what we offer, and how residents can engage with us. Your feedback will provide valuable insight into the words, images, messages, and experiences that best reflect the needs, values, and expectations of the diverse communities we serve, helping ensure that our brand identity and outreach efforts remain clear, welcoming, accessible, and resident-centered.
We have selected ETC Institute, an independent consulting company, as our partner to administer this survey. They will compile the data received and will present the results to the Department. Your responses will remain confidential.
